Privacy Policy

Effective date: 11 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-11

This policy explains how the Indian Real Estate Agents and Developers Association (“IREADA”, “we”, “us”), a public charitable trust registered under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882 (Registration No. 1768, Sub-Registrar IIB, Janakpuri, New Delhi, 19 November 2019), collects and uses personal data through ireada.net and our membership application. We follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. Data we collect

  • When you apply for membership: email address (verified with a one-time code), mobile number, professional category, full name, firm or company name, business address with state and PIN code, RERA registration number and RERA state (optional), membership of other associations, project types and current projects, website, operational area, years of experience and services offered.
  • When you pay the fee: amount, payment date, the UPI or bank transaction reference (UTR) and, if you choose to upload one, a screenshot of the payment. Please hide your account number before uploading a screenshot.
  • When you give consent: the date and time, the version of this policy you agreed to, and your IP address, kept as a record of your consent.
  • When you contact us: whatever you write in your email or tell us on the phone.
  • When you visit the website: technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected by our hosting, caching and spam-protection tools.

We do not ask for Aadhaar, PAN or other government ID numbers, bank account numbers or card numbers.

2. Why we use it

  • To review your application and decide on membership.
  • To issue your membership certificate and unique member ID, and to keep a record of members.
  • To send information about IREADA events, sessions and membership renewal.
  • To answer your questions and keep the website secure.

We use your data only for these purposes, on the basis of the consent you give when you apply or contact us.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run IREADA, and only as needed:

  • Cloud database provider, which stores membership applications and member records on servers in India.
  • Website and cloud hosting providers, which host ireada.net and the membership application pages.
  • Email service provider, which sends our emails (one-time codes and updates on your application and membership).
  • Security service provider, which checks that a form is submitted by a person and not a bot.
  • Banks and UPI apps that process your payment, under their own policies. IREADA does not store card or bank account numbers.

Some of these providers may process data outside India, as the law permits. We may disclose data when the law requires it.

4. How long we keep it

  • Member profile: while you are a member and for 3 years after your membership ends.
  • Payment and refund records: 8 years, for accounts and tax.
  • Applications not approved: deleted 12 months after the decision; the payment and refund record is kept for 8 years.
  • Applications never paid for: deleted 45 days after submission.
  • Consent records: kept as long as the data they relate to.
  • Record of actions taken on your application: 8 years.
  • Enquiries: up to 12 months.

5. Your rights

You may ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you and how it is used;
  • correct or update it;
  • delete it, where we no longer need it for the purposes above;
  • withdraw your consent (this may end your membership application or membership);
  • nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf.

Write to the Grievance Officer below. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including two-factor login for administrators, access limited to authorised IREADA staff, and private storage for payment screenshots. No system is fully secure; if a breach affects your data, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

7. Children

Membership is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

8. Changes

We will post any change to this policy on this page with a new effective date.
